President Bush signed a Presidential Proclamation making April 6 National Tartan Day. Tartan Day has been celebrated in the USA every year since. The most popular celebration is the parade that is held in New York every year, with people travelling from all over the world to attend.  We've pushed our Tartan day back one day to stay with our BiteNite Tuesdays.

Tuesday, APR 14: A Gastropub for a Cause:

(rescheduled from MAR 3rd)

Last November, former Vandiver Groom Jeff Deckman underwent a kidney transplant. The journey of that experience has compelled him and his wife Jennifer, along with his donor, fellow Marylander, Robin Ferdetta Phelan, and her husband, Kevin to start a nonprofit foundation to help others. Their plan is to partner with healthcare institutions, like hospitals and transplant centers to help advocate for and support donors, recipients, and families. Starting a 501c will come with lawyer fees and paperwork to get them started and 20% of the evening's Gross will go towards these start-up fees!
