Tuesday, March 3rd: A Gastropub for a Cause:
Last November, former Vandiver Groom Jeff Deckman underwent a kidney transplant. The journey of that experience has compelled him and his wife Jennifer, along with his donor, fellow Marylander, Robin Ferdetta Phelan, and her husband, Kevin to start a nonprofit foundation to help others. Their plan is to partner with healthcare institutions, like hospitals and transplant centers to help advocate for and support donors, recipients, and families. Starting a 501c will come with lawyer fees and paperwork to get them started and 20% of the evening's Gross will go towards these start-up fees!
