The Vandiver is in Historic Havre de Grace, MD, and is comprised of the Vandiver Mansion, The Kent & Murphy Houses, The Pavilion, and our Gazebo/Garden area.

Getting Ready
Our large beautiful guest rooms are the perfect backdrop for you and your wedding party to relax and make memories while preparing for the big day!
Our rooms have plenty of space, light, and mirrors for bridal parties to comfortably get ready.
Even better? Have breakfast and mimosas delivered right to your room in the morning. We got you covered.

The Vandiver has THREE beautiful spaces to host your wedding ceremony. Even better? Chairs, set-up, etc. are all included by experienced staff.
For intimate weddings, the stain glass bay window in our Parlor is a beautiful option.

The 130-year old Cedar Gazebo, nestled in our Garden area, is a beautiful and rustic setting to tie the knot.
The Gazebo area seats up to 120, with a covered porch for vendors and those that don't wish to be directly in the elements.
Afraid of the rain? Don't worry, the Pavilion is always available as backup--you are our ONLY event that day.

The Pavilion can seat around 175 (for your ceremony as well as dining) and is equipped with Central Air/Heat to reliably provide year-round comfort for guests.

Cocktail Hour
During cocktail hours, your guests are free to mingle on our porches, in the mansion, around the firepits and gardens, and of course enjoy delicious and elegantly served food and beverages.

With SO MANY appetizer options (and the ability to create something new when requested too), and with mid to upper shelf drink selections, you can ensure that you and your guests all have something they will enjoy.

Introducing the Newlyweds!
The Pavilion is also where you'll host your reception. If you have your ceremony here, our staff will convert it into your stunning reception space during cocktail hour.
After Cocktail Hour, we will escort your guests into the Pavilion, while your Event Manager, coordinating with your band or DJ, assists in getting you and your bridal party announced into the reception, and the party officially started!

Like everything else at the Vandiver, the Pavilion is also customized for you and your day and not a one-size-fits all space. We are able to configure countless arrangements to make your day beautiful--and functional.

When it comes to decorating for your Reception, you will have the choice between countless linen colors, and all of your silverware, upgraded chivari chairs, tables, barware, and dinnerware are all included and set up for you by our experienced staff, ensuring a space that will wow you and your guests.
