Vandiver provides a "comfortably elegant" Victorian setting, coupled with the simplicity of working with one partner for your reception, lodging, food, beverages and even your ceremony. IMPORTANT NOTE: Saturday weddings scheduled for high season (April-2nd week of December) must have a minimum value of $7,500 (this includes facilities, food, beverages, and minimally, the 8 rooms in the Vandiver Mansion). These minimums are sometimes reduced for shoulder and off-season, as well as Friday and Sunday weddings. For 2010, please add 10% to all pricing (as an estimate). Outdoor Large Covered Pavilion – Over 1,900 sq. ft., roofed, brick paver flooring, electric, lights and ceiling fans. Can accommodate seating up to 150 people. New sides drop-down at a moment’s notice to keep weather out year-round. Pavilion heating is included with your event. Garden Gazebo available for outdoor ceremonies
Facility Rental Fees: Fees are for 4 hours of use and include all tableware, linens, glassware, dishes, tables, and chairs needed for the event . Prices may vary depending on event size, number of guest rooms reserved, time of year and other factors. All Indoor Areas (“Front of House”): $4/person, $300 Minimum Pavilion only: $7/person, $400 minimum Ceremony fee (Gazebo or Pavilion): $2.00 pp, $175 minimum. Price includes chairs & set-up “Front & Back” (Dining Room, Parlor, Front Porch, & Pavilion) - $10.50pp, $500 minimum Side Tenting & Heating: The Pavilion pricing includes custom side curtains, which can be dropped at a moment’s notice. Heating for winter months is also included making it a year-round facility. The Vandiver hosts ONE event a day, providing an unprecedented level of set-up and decorating time. We try to end most events by 9PM to be a good corporate neighbor. The inn remains open after that for relaxing and conversation, and we'll even help you plan your "after-party" at one of the great nearby pubs (all within walking distance). Lodging It's like having your own village for the day or the weekend! Guests are welcome to stay in our beautiful guest rooms. After the reception friends may choose to walk to Havre de Grace's friendly pubs while others lounge and relax on the front porches. The next day, wake up to a full breakfast with your friends and family. The Vandiver is truly a unique destination wedding location for the Upper Chesapeake area. The 8 Guest Rooms in Vandiver Mansion (this is usually required for Saturday events > 70 people and/or Saturday events ending later than 7 PM): - $952 + facility fees. Requires guarantee. All 16 Guest Rooms in Vandiver Mansion and the Kent/Murphy Guest Houses $1,904 + facility fees. Requires guarantee. $2/night energy surcharge will be added to all rooms – Thanks BGE!
Estimating Overall Costs:Simple, inclusive pricing without compromise While most events are customized to each Bride’s and Groom’s needs, tastes and budget, a full-service wedding and reception, will range from the low $70’s to the mid-$90’s per person. Even at the lower end of this range, pricing includes just about everything you need for a beautiful event including Ceremony Space, Open Beer & Wine, appetizers, Salad, Two entrée choices, Two sides, WEDDING CAKE, Facilities (floorspace, tables, wood chairs, choice of linens, barware, silverware, set-up, tear-down, new drop-down side curtains, heat) AND Service/Gratuity (which is 20% of food and beverages). At the upper end, you’ll receive a significantly expanded menu with all the bells & whistles. Decorations and entertainment are your responsibility, but we have a list of trusted vendors that we’re happy to share with you. Don’t forget that a standard 2 or 3-tier wedding cake is included in the price of the meal. Custom wedding cakes may incur additional charges. The below menus are only suggestions to give you an idea of what you may have at different price points. Food and beverage are subject MD sales tax. Vandiver also holds a full-service liquor license, offering a wonderful selection of beers, wines and liquors personally selected by Chef Susan to complement your menu and professionally presented by Vandiver’s staff. Beverage ServiceThe Vandiver Inn holds a Class B, Inn liquor license. We are able to offer the followingbeverage service options to patrons 21 years of age or older.
