1) Cancellations must be received at least 10 days prior to initial check-in date to avoid implementing the Cancellation Policy (below).  Please also read the note about staying at the Vandiver at the bottom of this page.
2) Check-in is 3:00 to 9:00PM. Check-Out is 11:00 AM. Please call for other needs.
3) Occupancy over 2/room is an additional $10/per person/night.
4) ALL ROOMS, PORCHES AND INTERIORS ARE STRICTLY NON-SMOKING. Smoking is ONLY allowed under the brown gazebo behind the Vandiver Mansion. Any incident of smoking in other areas (in Vandiver’s sole opinion) may result in a $250 cleaning fee per occurrence, and may also result in immediate eviction of all occupants with no refund.
5 ) You are responsible for the safety and good order of all equipment and other property owned by Vandiver Inn, and are liable for said equipment and other property if it is lost, stolen, damaged or misplaced.
6) Vandiver Inn and/or its employees are not responsible for any damages due to loss or theft. Please provide a secure place for your belongings.
7) All charges are subject to Maryland Sales Tax.
8) You may park in either of the two lots behind the Kent/Murphy houses or on Fountain Street or Union Ave. Street parking is restricted on certain Tuesdays for street cleaning, so please check the signs on the street to see if it’s OK to park there during your stay.
9) VANDIVER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY EVICT GUESTS WITHOUT REFUND AT ANY TIME IF, IN VANDIVER’S SOLE OPINION, GUEST BEHAVIOR IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND/OR MAY PLACE VANDIVER’S PROPERTY, OTHER GUESTS, BUSINESS INTERESTS AND/OR STAFF AT RISK.
10) CANCELLATION POLICY: For Cancellations received less than 10 days prior to your stay, we will attempt to re-book the room. If the room is re-booked, you are no longer responsible for the room charges. If the room is not re-booked, we will issue a Cancellation Certificate valid SUNDAY-THURSDAY for up to six months from the issue date. Other restrictions may apply, see Certificate for details. Vandiver reserves the right to amend or change this policy at its discretion depending on customer circumstances.

With a beautiful outdoor Pavilion, historic Gazebo, newly remodeled Dining and Meeting Rooms, the Vandiver has become a popular place for special events such as corporate retreats and weddings. While we respect each guest’s privacy and do our best to ensure a wonderful experience every time you stay with us, it is important to note that on any given day, wedding music, guest conversations and laughter may be heard throughout the property. Most guests not associated with the events enjoy this joyous environment and they appreciate the fact that events end before 9PM (and often before that). Additionally, our outside porches and public spaces are usually closed at 11:00 PM and Vandiver works closely with each event to ensure that any after-party activity is off-site. If you have a specific desire or need regarding privacy or space during your stay, we strongly encourage you to call us (number is below) and let us know about your expectations and how we might help you achieve them. Most importantly, if the Vandiver is not the best fit for your needs on that particular day, we’ll be more than happy to help you find alternate lodging that might be a better fit.  We're looking forward to serving you!
